Artisanal’s “Personal Chef” service provides in-home, same-day dinner services for families on a regular basis. While the number of nights per week is determined by the client, there is a four-hour minimum per night which includes on-site food prep of 3-4 dishes, cooking, table setting, dinner service and clean-up. Your personal chef is also available to do grocery shopping.
Every menu — whether for special events or for regular weekly service – is discussed and planned at least several days in advance. Typically, a written menu (using the parameters set forth by the client) is created by the chef and submitted to the client for changes or approval. (If requested, the client’s food budget may also be used in preparation.) A phone or email communication takes place between the chef and the client, ensuring that every aspect of the service is agreed upon.
Artisanal offers cooking classes for kids and adults, different ability levels, group sizes and cuisines. Classes usually occur in the client’s home or at an off-site designated location. Bring your chef’s whites and join the fun!
Parties are an essential part of our business, and during the holiday months (October through December), weekend nights are very much in demand! From intimate family dinners to champagne receptions for colleagues, casual reunions or just a Friday night with good friends, Artisanal Consulting is there to ensure that every aspect of your special night is orchestrated perfectly.

What my Clients Think
"It was a blessing to have Rebecca in our lives as it freed us up to spend more time with the children ...Rebecca would not only prepare a varied menu that was delicious every night, but she also taught us about cooking and foods. Rebecca was extremely professional and polite but also warm and engaging ... I could never figure out how we managed to find such an exceptional woman to grace our home with all of her intellect and wittiness. Anyone able to have Rebecca in their home ought to jump at the opportunity as the quality of their life will improve dramatically. "

Private Chef Client
"It was a different meal each time-- as we are adventurous eaters-- and Rebecca was a skillful culinary artist in MANY cuisines. It also was familial for us. Feeding people is a nurturing act, and the way she worked among us was educational as well as fun. My daughters began a passion for cooking while watching Rebecca cook ... I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is thoughtful and easy going, and most importantly, an extremely gifted chef."

Not only is her food amazing, her presentation and attention to detail are truly exceptional. Rebecca's menus are planned with great thought and creativity, evidence of her genuine passion for her work. Her wine knowledge is impressive, and she is the picture of grace under pressure in the kitchen. I can’t recommend her highly enough! "
I have one word for Rebecca’s cooking talents: incredible! I have never met anyone with more knowledge of food – whether it’s knowing what a group of five year-olds will eat or intuiting the palates of international diners, Rebecca has always created the perfect menu (and set the stage) for many glorious meals in our home. We only wish she still lived in LA!"
